Winnie
I have so much to say about Winnie, it's hard to find the words. Winnie owned me the first moment I saw her at the Salt Lake County Animal Shelter. I was still hurting from the loss of Calvin when I went to visit her, and needed a furry companion in my life again. Here was this tiny, slender little weasel, all snuggles and kisses in my arms the moment they handed her to me.. she couldnt have been sweeter, the little deceiver.
As soon as I got her home, she was a wild firecracker with the heart of a lion, nipping my feet and ankles, with a toothy spunk that never let up for several years. It's that tenacity that's kept her going through all her many hard times since she became ill.
Winnie is older now and much more calm but that lion's heart still shows through despite her illnesses. She's kept me sane when times were tough and can always make me smile. Monkey and I are a team.

I lost my little girl to her illnesses on June 8th of 2007. No words can express my grief for this loss. I still think of her daily, and miss her more than I can say.
Sleep sweet forever, little Princess.
